The internet reached the novelty stage at around 1960s when it first started its service with features like email and APRA net. It then reached the entrepreneurial stage in the year 1970s, mostly after a decade and when it came up with the microprocessors which were a small device, cheap, and at the same time powerful and which could be sold and bought by the people. This development also led to the introduction of personal computers. The internet started developing as a mass medium from the year 1993 when the web browser started along with the World Wide Web and the hypertext markup language. The search engines also came into the scene which boosted the process of a mass medium.
